Are You Ready For The End Of Support?
|Are You Ready For The End Of Support?|
Similar to death and paying taxes, another surety in life is that at some point, old software will no longer be supported. That is the fate that awaits two stalwart Microsoft products. On April 8, 2014, Microsoft will end support for the decade-old Windows XP and Office 2003 products. This means technical assistance from Microsoft will end and you will no longer receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, assisted support options (free or paid) or online technical content updates.
With less than six months remaining before this support is dropped, now is the time to plan your migration path to a newer version of both Windows and Office. In some cases this may also require replacing your personal computer or laptop due to the minimum systems requirements for the newer software. If you have any machines using Windows XP or Office 2003, contact your BEMA engineer and they will help develop a migration plan for you.
