TouchTools – Redesigning the Touch Interface

We have learned to use touch to interact with devices via the screen using swipes and gestures, but those gestures don’t often mimic how we perform tasks with actual items.

TouchTools aims to bring some real-world gesturing into the touchscreen world. By implementing gestures that mimic how you would hold or manipulate a physical item, the interface can move beyond the simplistic “poking with different numbers of fingers.”
